Patch 0.2.41 brings a substantial step forward in both usability and atmosphere, focusing on exploration tools, immersion, and the long-term vision of Expedition To Madness.
New Mapping & Exploration Systems
A new map interface now appears on the Hexeract wall. From here, players can study the current dimension, scroll through depth layers, and visualize:
Known enemy positions
Discovered Primordial Energy and Blue Energyros
The location of the Necronomicon once uncovered
Introducing the Tablet Map, a portable version of the map system that can be carried during expeditions (uses 1 inventory slot).
The drone can now automatically detect nearby Primordial Energy when passing very close to it, instantly revealing it on the map.
Player Feedback & Sanity Improvements
New helmet informational messages now trigger when picking up tools from the Hexeract.
Shadow Men have been reworked for better presence and behaviour.
New mechanics activate when sanity drops below 50%, increasing tension and unpredictability.
Additional visual and audio effects when the player is hit or when sanity deteriorates.
Main Hub Overhaul
The Main Hub has been fully refurbished, aligning it more closely with the final narrative vision of the game.
New Observation Deck added to the Hub.
New textures, sounds, and ambient details throughout hub areas.
T.O.D.D. has undergone maintenance… including improvements to its metal alloy.
Visual & Audio Enhancements
Lamps and lighting have been reworked across the entire game, with new lighting effects introduced.

FIX: Resolved an issue where some decals were not displaying correctly in UV01 and UC13 maps.
