Hey everyone,
Thanks so much for testing Occultus Vitae and for all the feedback you’ve been sharing! Here’s a quick overview of some important current limitations and known issues in the Early Access build:
🧠 Save System
There is no save functionality yet. Progress will reset once the game is closed. A proper save system is planned for future updates.
⚙️ Settings Behavior
Settings (like audio volume) do apply and work while the game is running. However, they reset visually as soon as you leave the settings menu.
Once you restart the game, settings are lost and return to default, as they are not yet saved between sessions.
Control settings (e.g., keybinding customization) are not available yet but will be added later.
📄 Document Tracking
Currently, there’s no indicator showing which notes are new or already read.
Until we implement a proper system, you’ll need to manually check through your collected notes to spot what’s new.
🛠️ DEBUG Function – Key “L”
Pressing “L” reduces your health by 20%.
This is a temporary debug/testing feature and will be removed from the public build in the next update.
Thanks again for being part of our Early Access journey. Every bug you report and suggestion you make helps us build a better horror experience.
