Survive Society is out now in early access, play solo or with other clowns.
For this build, mainly want to test networking and making sure there's no major bugs. After things work then will start adding more areas/monsters/items/etc. Post suggestions/missing features/bugs in the Steam Discussions.
Save files are disabled atm, collected money/exp and some settings won't save for now.
How to play
Press PLAY to host a lobby, from there, in the in-game lobby you can invite other clowns with a code by pressing the SHOW LOBBY CODE or invite clowns from your friend list with the USE THIS TO INVITE OTHER CLOWNS.

Or you can play solo. Sit in the Neet Mobile seats when you are ready.

The Neet Mobile will automatically travel to locations. Open the door to start the timer and enter society.

Find enough relics and place them in the cash machine.

The amount you need is displayed next to the money machine.
Close the door and either travel to the next location or go back to Neetdom.
You have to go to a certain amount of locations before returning though. And it has a maximum of 5 runs atm.
There are 6 locations currently: The Park, Grocery Shopping, Frying Chambers, Window Washing, Library and Gas Plumbing. Some locations will only show up when certain conditions are met and locations that were easy will become harder depending on difficulty. Also item spawns and area layouts will change each time.
Game Over happens if you run out of time, or if playing with a group, everyone is killed at the same time. This is to balance group vs solo play.
To join a friends lobby click on the Join button:

Enter lobby code or your friends lobby will show up on a list and you can join that way. The friend lobby list is a beta feature and may not work correctly yet.

Also to play with the same group, on the tally screen the host needs to press “Go Again” to play without having to re-invite.
Multiplayer Stuff
This game uses a host/client setup so if the host leaves the run will stop.
Things happen differently on the Host and Client so had to work a lot to sync them. Tried to catch everything but may have missed stuff, so if you find anything related to that post it on the discussions.
Didn't do a whole lot of testing with 4 players so there might be bugs relating to that.
Voice Chat
It's proximity chat so voices come from your player in-game.
BUT transmission might be buggy, you can't send audio over a network, you have to turn it into numbers first then send those numbers over then re-assemble it on the other side and turn it back into audio and make sure it plays in the right order. It's very annoying.
Report if you have any problems with it. If necessary, can just use a premade method like Vivox but wanted to see if this worked first.
Anyway if voice chat programing was a person I would be like Hey Friendo I'm not a fan of yous
Balance
Give suggestions on stuff balance wise. Like if relics are too spread out, monsters too easy/hard, too much time/not enough, etc.
Experience and money isn't saved atm, it will be when stuff is balanced and there are no major bugs.
Water Shader
Look at this water shader:

Also admire it in-game (the park). Spent like 2 days making that shader and it uses fresnel effects and everything.
Lastly
Ragdolls might go insane at times.
Flashlights in the lockers are temp so don't get used to them.
No harming the normies/NPCs.
Pls don't make fun of UI graphics they are temp/unfinished.
Suggest missing settings from the settings menu.
Don't get killed by the Giant Brains, they will absolutely roast you.
