We're excited to share a new update on what we've been working on behind the scenes.
🛠️ The Updated Demo
The next version of the Hollow Mire demo is well into development and will be available for download shortly.
The updated demo will include a new Noir soundtrack, new portraits and updated sprites, refined atmosphere and environments, an updated UI, new Noir Comic cutscenes and many more fully voiced and interactable items!
The demo will offer the strongest introduction possible to the world of Hollow Mire and closely reflect the final game.
We look forward to getting it into your hands very soon!
🎥 A New Trailer
Launching alongside the updated demo will be an all-new trailer.
This latest look at Hollow Mire will showcase new locations, characters, and story moments, while offering a better glimpse of what awaits beyond the demo. It's our biggest look yet at the full experience and the direction the game is taking.

🧍 Updated Portrait Artwork
We've also continued refining the game's hand-drawn character portraits, and we're incredibly pleased with how they're coming together.
Each portrait takes several days to complete and is one of the most labour-intensive parts of development. Every expression, shadow, and detail is carefully considered to ensure each character feels authentic and carries a story before they even speak.
Today we're sharing a look at Sergeant Crane, captured during a flashback sequence of John during World War 2.
🖤 Noir Comic Panel Cutscenes
Another major addition to Hollow Mire is our new comic panel cutscenes.
Inspired by classic noir artwork, these hand-drawn sequences help tell key moments of the story through dramatic composition, bold shadows, and expressive framing. Rather than relying solely on traditional cutscenes, these illustrated panels allow us to emphasise memory, emotion, and psychological tension while staying true to the game's 1950s-inspired atmosphere.
🕰️ Thank You
It's taking time to make Hollow Mire the best it can be, and we truly appreciate everyone's patience and support.
Whether you've played the demo, wishlisted the game, or simply followed our development updates, thank you for being part of the journey. Every step brings us closer to the experience we've imagined from the beginning.
More soon.
