happy fall, the last post was 2 months ago so I want to briefly share some stuff ive been working on
World 4 has been added to the list of playable worlds. These four will be the only ones available until the full release.
I made a few new batch of levels to have fun with that will become available around halloween called 'hamachi.exe', Im sure you can figure out what inspired that name.
I suggest that when you play these new levels, you make sure to increase your volume up by a lot to really immerse yourself with the experience..
in regards to the main game itself, im focusing my time on wrapping up the actual bosses now. I've finished coding the 2nd boss encounter, his name is 'yawning lord yellow devil', and he utilizes a companion called the 'haphazard demon cube' to perform most of his attacks. the cube defaults to red, and can change to yellow, purple and green to indicate what action he is going to perform with the cube. he has 3 phases and unlocks a new ability each phase. however, if you dont want to kill the bosses, you can now properly pacify them
the bosses in this world are merely outcasts, victims of the main antagonist, "the demon queen" much like hamachi (the player controlled character) is.
when you pacify them, they will poof away and join you via the demonic trinket, "orb of the bound", which binds their soul to the player. this will be used in a successful pacifist route to summon the now party members to assist you in the final battle.
youll do something nice for him
the boss you spare will happily hang out on the title screen, rooting for you
lastly something minor, you can now adjust the volume, and your options will be saved, so If you prefer playing in window mode, the game will always boot in window mode after confirming that in options.
also, hamachi has an idle animation now, thats the most groundbreaking thing out of everything ive just said
to give a general projection, I've set myself the goal to complete coding on or before April 2026, thats the latest I want to give myself. theres certainly more to go over, but that would spoil everything ! so I'll end it at that
