Update - 04/09/26
Version 0.0.10 - Build 10
A summary of changes and updates!
Character Creation
As I work towards fleshing out the full game, I've been focusing on character creation with the hope to roll it into the demo in a "Beta" stage at some point in the future. This will enable you to create custom characters for the demo.
Character creation has been brought back up to work with the rest of the game and is now fully functional - even if the UX leaves a bit to be desired.
(PC ONLY) Custom portraits - It is now possible to load custom portraits for your characters.
Added better validation and feedback to let you know why a character cannot be saved.
Data Separation
As part of the preparation for future games in the series there needs to be a clear distinction between what data needs to be in the Adventure, in this case Crypts of Carith, and the core engine itself, the "EverMoore Chronicles" engine.
Split off localization specific to Crypts of Carith from core engine.
Split off dungeon, scene, narrative and event data etc.. from core engine.
Frontend - Demo
Added hover states to the Wishlist and feedback buttons.
Exploration
"Quick Grab" now defaults to the first alive character in the formation, rather than the first logical character in the party.
Combat
Added a new preview between rounds which shows the positions of the enemies on the grid
Settings
General
Removed the quit to desktop button from the frontend settings as it already exists on the frontend!
Modified some sizing for the headers and tabs to give a better sense of cadence.
Controls
Added the option to invert the Y-Axis for looking
UI
It's now possible to toggle the Settings UI with the same button rather than having to press Esc to exit.
Shrank the loading bar slightly to make it look a bit less gross.
Bugs
Fixed an issue that was causing items to not be equipped properly if accessing a character inventory through the party portraits.
Fixed an issue that prevented you placing an item in the same inventory slot index even though you were interacting with a different character.
Fixed an issue where you could see through the floor in a certain staircase.
Thankyou again Adventurers!
I hope you have an amazing week.
