Hey Adventurers!
Almost two weeks on from the release of the demo and things are starting to get back to normal.
I continue to be blown away by the positive reception and am humbled by all the lovely comments - As a solo developer it means everything that people enjoy the game but also understand what I'm trying to achieve.
So thankyou - everyone, for all the comments, the critique, the feedback and the praise!

My primary focus while building the demo has been on the mechanics to make a solid fun gameplay experience that really shows off the direction of the game.
I had previously done lots of level creation and blocking out of the rest of the game, so there is a skeleton there, but now it's time to take all of the new tools and learnings I got from building the demo and put those into the core experience.
The first thing I want to nail is fixing up Character Creation, it fell apart a bit while I made lots of changes to the Demo and also I've made a lot of improvements since I initially set it up and I wanted to improve the flow and get custom portraits working.

Once I'm happy with that and the save format is good, I'll look at rolling that functionality into the demo!
Development Going Forward
I need to be pretty disciplined in regards to development going forward, so my weekly plan is as follows:
Monday to Wednesday I work on the Core Game - Meaning the A-B adventure that everyone will play through, starting in Carith, side dungeons and heading into the depths of the Crypts.
Thursday and Friday are dedicated to bug fixed and updates of existing mechanics - This is to ensure that the Demo stays up to date, and I implement any feedback I have had from players in the demo. As the game uses shared core logic, this also ends up everywhere so it's a win-win.
I'm going to continue to try and push weekly updates on a Monday.
Thankyou for being here, and thankyou for your support!
