a.k.a the other 50% – Major Patch Notes
Greetings, Crusaders! This update brings a massive overhaul of gameplay mechanics, quality-of-life improvements, new content, and bug fixes. Thank you all for your continued support—I’m genuinely grateful for all the wishlists, downloads, feedback and even you, the lone Mac user (I see you). Let’s get into the details:
🏰 Player Hub
Graphical Fixes – Improved landscape visuals and lighting issues.
NPC Fixes – Resolved the issue causing NPCs to aggro unintentionally.
UI Improvements – Fixed the map focusing issue when selecting destinations.
Tutorial Fixes – Icons now correctly display in tutorial messages.
Bridge Fixed – Now properly reappears after defeating the first boss in the hub.
New Feature: The Shop – Spend Blessed Silver Coins (earned from killing bosses, surviving rounds, and completing crusades) to purchase permanent upgrades for future runs.
⚔️Combat & Player Mechanics
Movement & Camera:
Disabled collision with other characters when sliding.
Increased FOV for better visibility.
Fixed third-person camera clipping when dodging/performing finishers.
New Sprint Animation for smoother movement.
Combat Systems:
Dexterity Rework – Now properly affects reload and holster speed.
Dodge Buff – More power.
ADS Overhaul – Bullets are now traced from the ironsight/scope when aiming, improving accuracy.
Recoil System Added – Includes procedural recoil animations and a predictable recoil pattern.
Reload System Reworked – More reliable and visually polished.
Finishers now properly award points.
Increased Fire Resistance – Because some of you were getting torched way too fast.
Weapons:
Astrape – No longer requires charging; instead, fires three shots before reloading.
Flame Spell Bug Fixed – No longer causes graphical errors near abyssal barriers.
Weapons Restored – Most of the original weapons from the first few builds are back!
New submachine gun added!
Sniper Buff
Night Owl has been changed from burst to shell-fed
🔮 New Arcana & Elemental Reworks
New Elements:
Void – Controls entropy and gravity distortion, crushing foes under immense force and or flinging them.
Frost – Freezes and slows enemies, locking them in place for follow-up attacks.
Reworked:
Electric – Chains lightning more reliably with better VFX.
🛠️ New Crafting & Gathering System
4 New Materials for Crafting:
Construction – "Mined" from stone nodes.
Salvage – Collected by breaking objects and dismantling weapons.
Ichorics – Dropped randomly by enemies.
Exotics – Extremely rare, currently only sourced from the Ichoric Critter.
The Smithy:

Repair your sword when it breaks.
Craft grenades if you run out.
Salvage weapons for materials.
And More…
☠️ The Gamble Crate & Traps
The Box Returns! – But with added risks… choose wisely.

3 New Traps:
Flame Wall Trap – Burns anything passing through.
Swinging Axe Trap – Decapitates enemies in a gruesome arc.
Summonable Zombie Trap – Spawns undead to distract or attack.
🏰 Dark Dungeon Expansion
The Second Half of Dark Dungeon has been added. To make room for the new stuff!
New Fountain – Refill your tincture… for a price.
Portal Tax – Using the portal now has a cost, making each decision more tactical.
Map Easter Egg Completed! – Unlock the ability to upgrade weapons for more damage and elemental effects.

Barriers Return! – Rebuild them to hold back zombies… or leave them open, that works too.
Higher Enemy Count per Round – But lower spawn rate to balance pacing.
More Breakable Pots – Because smashing things is fun.
🔥 Respite & Rarities
Respite Rarity System Added:
Common → Uncommon → Rare → Epic → Legendary → Mythical → Crimson.

Vampiric Takedown, Explosive Takedown and Gifted Rounds removed for the time being.
🎭 Enemies & AI Improvements
Two New Enemy Types – Appear at key steps in the Easter Egg.
Skeletons Nerfed – They had too much calcium before, which resulted in too many ragdolling players.
Bullet Impact Physics Fixed – Enemies now react properly when shot with a powerful weapon.
Ragdoll System Adjustments – Should prevent enemies from getting stuck (or at least reduce it).
🔧 Background Work
Graphical Overhaul – Bringing back the grittier, darker look of earlier builds.
Controller Support:
Technically works, but still requires a mouse for UI navigation in one or two instances.
Controls are not yet rebindable, and UI messages may not reflect them accurately.
Multiplayer Setup Started:
Co-op is the next major hurdle after optimization.
🏁 Next Goals
Major Performance Optimizations – The game doesn’t run too well for a 2GB file right now…
Full Controller Support – Including aim assist.
More Content – More maps, weapons, and secrets in the future!
This update was a massive undertaking, and I hope you all enjoy it. Thank you again for your support—whether you're downloading, wishlisting, or just here for the chaos. Time for a long break before tackling co-op (send prayers).
See you in the next update, Crusaders! ⚔️🔥
