Tabletop Tavern is back with a frosty winter update. ❄️
Artillery units for every faction, a fully reworked weather system that directly impacts combat, expanded battlefield controls, and deeper army customization through build crafting and custom starting armies! And of course lots of festive decorations 🎅
Winter Alters the Battlefield
The battlefield receives a full seasonal overhaul, featuring a Winter Campaign Map, new winter-themed music, and a festive main menu. But the visual refresh is only the surface. Weather conditions now alter visibility, morale, and unit performance, ensuring no two runs play the same.
Fog now reduces range and accuracy, creating tense, close-quarters engagements and ambush-heavy battles.
Rain slows large units by 50% and removes their charge bonus, punishing reckless cavalry play.
Snow saps morale, causing units to break faster and turning prolonged engagements into wars of attrition.
Artillery, Dwarves, & Deeper Customization
The Winter Update significantly expands how you build, control, and experiment with your armies. Artillery units are now available to all factions, introducing long-range pressure and new ways to shape the flow of battle.
You'll gain deeper battlefield control through new command tools, including formation rotation, additional hotkeys, and improved unit grouping.
Customization extends beyond the battlefield with the addition of build crafting and custom starting armies, allowing you to define their opening strategy before a run begins.
Finally, the Dwarves are playable in Custom Battle mode. While the dwarves aren't a playable faction in the demo you can recruit dwarven units in the campaign!
We had a lot of fun working on this update and are eager to see what everyone thinks! As always feel free to hop into our Discord and let us know what you think. If you're feeling the holiday a spirit all TJ and I want for Christmas is a wishlist and demo review 🎁
Cheers, Jordan & TJ
