Our new project has caught the eye of media outlets with its intriguing concept. Here’s what early impressions from the media have to say about our title:
“Forest Reigns, a post-apocalyptic tale set in the heart of a devastated yet floral Paris, could be a game that unlocks more potential for an FPS genre that’s crying out for new directions.
It could be one of the most unique FPS games on our radar right now.” – Forbes
“We just got the first trailer for one of the most fascinating-looking games of 2025, and it’s already giving me strong Far Cry and The Last of Us vibes. Regardless of what you can draw comparisons to however, it looks absolutely beautiful.” – Gaming Bible
“The encroaching forest is alive, and you'll see how the iconic sights of Paris have been reshaped by an aggressive Mother Nature.
Survival crafting, a non-linear story, and a forest that can serve as both friend and foe in any given situation all combine to try and set Forest Reigns apart.” – IGN
“Unlike the usual post-apocalyptic greyed-out visuals, Forest Reigns contrasts the fall of Paris with a bright and mystical palette reminiscent of Outer Worlds.
The reveal trailer and Steam page showcase unique mechanics, including the ability to use the forest's disdain for humanity to your advantage when facing other human enemies.” – DualShockers
“As a fan of weird forests, which is to say all forests, I'm keen on the prospect of an FPS set in a post-apocalyptic Paris that has been overrun by sentient, pissed-off trees.
It's from a team led by a former S.T.A.L.K.E.R. developer, too, and those S.T.A.L.K.E.R. alumni certainly know how to post a good apocalypse.” – Rock Paper Shotgun
“In a market filled with post-apocalyptic shooters, Forest Reigns sets itself apart by flipping the script. It trades barren wastelands for lush forests, and mindless enemies for a thinking, reactive ecosystem. With its emergent gameplay, a gripping non-linear story, and a stunning reimagining of Paris, the game challenges players to rethink survival and combat in a world where nature has taken over.” – Early Game
“The developers promise not only an exciting “sandbox” but also an interesting narrative component. It sounds very much like S.T.A.L.K.E.R., but the game is obviously not as gloomy, more vibrant, and some scenes even seem fantastical.” – ITC
“Forest Reigns looks like a beautiful blend of gameplay with elements of Stalker, Crysis and Fallout wrapped up in a neat package. This sounds like everything I want in a modern single-player FPS.” – Gaming on Linux
“Forest Reigns is like taking a healthy dose of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and mixing with it some Annihilation for good measure. The visuals seem oddly colorful, with all manners of exotic tree life dousing the city in various hues.
Resources will be scarce. You must plan, scavenge, and craft to survive.” – Notebookcheck
“With its ambitious art direction, Forest Reigns features mechanisms where nature reacts to players' actions. From the Arc de Triomphe invaded by intelligent plants to the Ministry of the Environment, each location promises unique challenges.” – Sortir à Paris
With our revamped approach to post-apocalyptic storytelling and gameplay, Forest Reigns is also beginning to draw players' attention. If you’re searching for an FPS that offers something fresh, this might just be the game to surprise you.
