About the Upcoming Update
Ahoy Night Mariners,
I want to share some plans for the upcoming update.
Some of the content mentioned in this announcement may change, be delayed, or be added to the game in a different way before the update is released. When the update goes live, I will share all the details more clearly.
Lighting Improvements
With this update, I have made some changes to the in-game lighting. My goal is to make the atmosphere stronger and improve visibility, especially at night, in caves and around island areas.
New Dangers During Sea Travel
I have started adding new dangers for journeys with the main ship. I am working on new creatures that can appear during travel, approach the ship or disturb the players. I want sea travel to feel less empty and make players pay more attention while they are on the ship.
UI and Model Updates
I have also made a few updates on the UI and model side. Some parts in the game are still temporary, and I will keep improving them over time so they fit the atmosphere of Nightmariners better.
New Creatures for Caves
I plan to add two new creatures for the caves. With these creatures, I want the caves to feel a bit more dangerous, tense and alive.
Market System and New Items
The market system has been added, and some market items have been prepared. I will explain this system more clearly when the update is released. In general, market items will affect the game mechanics and add more fun options to the gameplay.
Ship Item Carrying System
The ship’s item carrying system has also been updated. I want carrying and placing items on the ship to feel clearer and more useful for players.
Hide UI Button
I also plan to add a button to hide the UI for players who want to take screenshots in the game. This will allow players to take cleaner screenshots without the interface.
New Island Variants
If I can finish them in time, and I currently think I can, I will add new island variants for both Main Island and Cave Island.
Note: In the future, I want players to explore not only scary caves, but also scary islands. That is why I am already preparing the foundation for more island variety.
Work on this update is still ongoing. When the update is released, I will share a more detailed list of what has been added, changed or delayed.
Thank you for playing Nightmariners, sharing your feedback and supporting the development process.
