We're proud to present Lilac 0 – a vertically scrolling shoot 'em up set on the machine world of Molybdion. You control Rairakku, an ancient warrior and blade-wielding automaton deployed to destroy the planet's mechanzied inhabitants.
Lilac 0 is created by Victor Pouderoux. A regular on the French game jam scene, this is the first project he's developed to completion. The game has a retro arcade feel that combines refined mechanics, challenging gameplay, stunning pixel art and a powerful chiprock soundtrack. There are 5 levels (starting in the clouds high above Molybdion and descending deep below the planet's surface), 3 difficulty levels, 8 different color palettes, and 2 playable characters.
The game features a lock-on system that slows down your movement for greater precision and allows you to target your opponents before cutting them into pieces. More unusually, the game also features a dash move. In addition to making the player momentarily invulnerable, the dash is the only way to defeat certain enemies. It’s also used to execute an "overkill" a special finisher move that slices its target in two and awards lots of score.

We're aiming to launch Lilac 0 early 2025, but will be releasing a demo before then. Be sure to Wishlist and Follow to be notified when the demo is available, and when the full game releases.
