Hello EVERYONE!
We just wanted to give you a brief insight into the development of Unsound Love so far.
The game is supported by the Danish Film Institute's game program (Spilordningen), which is now getting its very own institute here in Denmark. We made a very small prototype of the game for them to get support. We have now continued working on this prototype for a few months and now it is starting to look like a real game. :)
The first picture here is from the prototype. The second picture shows our progress since then.
One of the big differences you can see is that we have redesigned the player's clothing. This has to do with the main story itself, so we can't say more than that. We worked a lot on making the locations more detailed, as well as doing more with the lighting, so these things help better convey the game's stories. We're happy with the changes ourselves, are you? :)
We've also started work on the game's music and sound design, which we think will end up being something really special. ALL SOUND IN THE GAME WILL BE DONE ON A MUSIC INSTURMENT. There's still a long way to go with this work, but what we already have, gives Unsound Love a unique atmosphere. Other than Astrid Fabrin being back (the composer from Security: The Horrible Nights, Anglerfish), we have a new member on the sound team. Brice is double bass player who has travelled around the world to develop his unique music and we can't wait for you to hear some of what he's already done for the game. In a later update, we'll show some of what Astrid and Brice have created so far for Unsound Love.
We've done a lot of work in the last few months, so we'll be showing Unsound Love's first trailer very soon! :O
