I believe difficulty in games should always be the player's choice. A good game should be easy to pick up but also provide a challenge for those who seek it—whether to test their skills, willpower, focus, or simply to enjoy the same experience as others but with a greater sense of accomplishment. Simple as that!

In KINTSUGI, the easy mode is truly easy - designed to make you feel comfortable, relaxed… or even a little lazy if you want. It's entirely up to you!
The gradual increase in difficulty gives you the freedom to decide how much of a challenge you want to take on. Kintsugi, as an form of art, is demanding, and this game is just a simplified interpretation of it.
That's why it should be not harder to play than you want it to be :)
Higher difficulty modes can really put your abilities to the test.
Based on my own experience woth it ( I play every day :D ), though, it's worth it!
And that's coming from someone who's generally terrible at puzzles :D
I hope you will enjoy the game - even on the harder modes :)
All The Best
Adam.
