Hello, Metalheads!
We have great news for you today. It's with great pleasure that we are announcing the first ever Heavy Metal Machines European Championship!
Yes! You heard(read) that correctly. Hoplon is happy to be able to host it and provide you with a €10000+ prize pool in cash. We always envisioned Heavy Metal Machines as a competitive game, and there isn't anyone more appropriate than us to begin investing into its e-Sports scene.
The championship will be focused initially in the European region. No one will, however, be barred from entry. Players from all over the world are welcome to register, compete and win the prizes - we only categorize it as being focused in this region because matches, by default, will be played on the European servers.
Metalheads from other regions, please, fret not - we plan on running more and more tournaments in the future, and there will be one for you! It's just a matter of scale. Start simple - one big region. See what works. Adapt. Improve. That's the goal here - a worldwide tournament is what we envision, but in order to get there, we first need to take the appropriate steps in building the path towards it.
This, of course, means new features are planned, the tournament will be played with the new bomb - so get ready for that bombastic news and start training! There will also be Custom Lobbies available for people to organize the matches and teams being made - we will share more news about those features as the time for them approaches.
For those who can't wait to know when it's happening, know that it is near. The Registrations begin when July begins, which means the 1st. ;)
