Howdy Miners!
After a longer break, we're back! We've been busy making your battle against the Space Zombie invasion even bloodier, meatier, and more exciting.
We've made a number of major changes that you'll notice and appreciate right away.
We're Using the Latest Unreal Engine Version (5.8)
We've successfully performed an engine transplant, and we're proud to report that the game is now running on the latest Unreal Engine 5.8. The operation was long, occasionally nerve-racking, but the patient survived. Better yet, it's doing great. It's faster, smoother, more stable, and ready for many more showdowns with the Space Zombies.

And this leads us to:
Better Performance
The engine swap turned out to be more than just a cosmetic upgrade, as it delivered a hefty performance boost. In some situations, we've seen frame rates nearly double compared to previous builds. That means even players with more modest rigs should now be able to blast their way through hordes of space creatures at a respectable frame rate.
Because the last thing you need is a frame drop when you're busy smashing the skull of a stinky, rotten zombie.
And this leads us to:
Less Disk Space Is Needed
During the intensive optimization process, the game has also gone on a diet and now takes up less space on your hard drive. You no longer have to delete your vacation photos or favorite movies just to make room for it. The demo has shed over 10 GB of weight.
And this leads us to:
Gloves!
Our miner finally got some gloves! No more wandering through the debris-filled corridors of Space Mine Corp.'s offices and warehouses with bare hands. We understand how uncomfortable that must have been. All those sharp edges just waiting to slice your fingers! Yikes!
From now on, every space miner can feel safe and comfortable while wearing a pair of work gloves that make you look way more badass. And let's be honest, that was the main reason we added them in the first place.

And this leads us to:
Revamped Hyper Time
Hyper Time has also received some changes that go far beyond simply slapping on a fresh coat of paint here and there. It looks different, feels more powerful, and is now much more useful when things get messy during encounters with the space undead.
After this update, activating Hyper Time won't just give you some extra precious seconds to line up the perfect shot. While it's active, the player will deal increased damage as well, giving you an additional bonus while turning slow-motion zombie carnage into an even more satisfying experience.

And this leads us to:
Quicker Finishers
Respecting your time, we've sped up the enemy finishing moves. They should no longer interrupt the flow of combat, but instead blend much more smoothly into the fast-paced chaos of the gameplay.
Remember that finishing moves also recharge your Hyper Time level. So don't be shy, feel free to stomp a zombie or two whenever the opportunity presents itself! After all, it's not just satisfying... It's practically a tactical decision.
And this leads us to:
Expanded Demo Level & New Visual Style
We simply couldn't sit still, so we started tinkering with the demo level. We've expanded it a bit, not by a huge amount, but just enough to add a few extra chills running down your spine.
You might even find yourself jumping out of your chair once or twice. No promises, though. And we're not responsible for any spilled drinks or startled pets.
We've also given the game's visual style a bit of a makeover. It’s now harsher, grittier, and hopefully a better match for the brutal atmosphere of battling rotting creatures from outer space.
More is to come.
Stay tuned!
