What's been happening
It's been two months since the last update, and since then, I've been doing more work on A Safe Place, there's been some really good progress happening since then. A good amount of old segments have been re-done, causing the game to look a bit more polished, still quiet a bit more to be done, but it's all coming together slowly. I still have quite a ways to go, the games still in an unfinished state, with it missing a lot of music, typo's are everywhere, still lots of place holder graphics and a few characters are still missing their dialogues.
The progress so far.
Despite the fact the game is still in its beta stage, it is playable from start to finish, but that doesn't mean it's finished, I've still got a lot of cut-scenes to program and design, add more enemies and I still need music to get composed for the game. However, I've been implementing some new aspects that were missing from the demo, I have re-done the battling system to look a bit more appealing and so it's easier to understand. I got quite a bit of criticism for how janky the battling system is in the demo, so lately, I've been fixing it up to be a bit better in the full version of Chapter One.
As the game is slowly entering it's finished state, I've been improving a few characters, making them look more appealing and detailed. Same with a lot of the graphics, just adding in the small details that really help visually improve the game.
2026 release date??
A 2026 release date is still possible, however I won't be making any promises, there is a slight chance of an early 2027 release date though, but if that does happen I'll inform you all of the delay in an announcement, but Chapter One will come out when it's ready. When A Safe Place gets closer to it's finished state, expect a proper release date and a fancy new trailer ; )
Over 150 downloads!! : D
That's right! A Safe Place has over 150 downloads and counting! Thank you all for your awesome support on this game!
Screenshots!
A Small sneak peak at how the new battling system is going! (obviously this is still a work in progress, you can literally see Sheldon's animation barriers.)
Who's this strange foe that stands in front of Sheldon?? And why is there so much smoke?

Chapter two release date??
I genuinely have no idea, given how long it's taken me to make Chapter One, it's unpredictable how long Chapter Two will take. Although I don't think it'll take as long as Chapter One, the reason that chapter is taking forever is due to design changes, trust me, the plot has changed DRASTICALLY since the game first entered development in early 2022. I actually re-done the game from the ground up back in 2024 because I wasn't happy with the final product back in 2023. Fun fact: I've had this game in mind since 2015-2016, but wasn't able to work on it until 2022 due to the fact I didn't know how to program, and I didn't really have much access to a computer.
Well, that's all for now! I hope to come back sometime next month or so with more information! See ya in the next post!
