Approaching The Release
We are now approaching the final stretches of development for Vespia: Shield of Aberration. It has taken longer than initially expected, but the game has grown and now has a unique identity that sets it apart from other games in the genre. Part of this growth means that the current state of the game is of a significantly higher quality than what is shown on the store-page and demo, so moving forward I will be taking down the demo and working to improve what is shown on the store page.
A lot of new content has made it into the game:
- Multiple full character skill trees.
- Multiple new end-game cards.
- A final boss.
- Tons of bug fixes.
- A whole new system for picking upgrades after you complete each day.
The game will be officially releasing on June 23rd. It will release just before the summer sale and will be participating in the sale with a launch discount. Make sure you wishlist so that you can get the game while it is on offer!
Hourglass Games Hardware
Up until now, the game has been developed on a laptop with a mere 8 GB of RAM. While this is great for ensuring that the game can run on even the lowest-end of hardware, this isn't great for developing games as compilation times are long and Unity is constantly crashing or complaining in one way or another. I've purchased a new computer which will significantly improve productivity, and allow for future updates and games to be of an even higher quality than what is offered in Vespia: Shield of Aberration.
Thanks for reading, happy hunting!
