Chapter 2, Part 1 is out now
Hey everyone, how's it going?
Comatose is made by one person, and one of my goals this year is to keep updates coming at a steadier pace instead of disappearing for many months at a time. That is why Chapter 2 is releasing in two parts. This way you get new content sooner, and I get to keep improving the game in shorter cycles rather than sitting on everything until it is all finished. Part 1 is available right now and runs for roughly an hour and a half of gameplay.
What is in Chapter 2, Part 1
New enemies waiting for you in areas you have not seen yet.
New cutscenes that push the main story forward.
A deeper story overall. Chapter 2 digs into what Chapter 1 only hinted at.
Improvements and quality of life
General gameplay improvements across the whole game, not just the new chapter.
Dialogue can now be skipped, which should make replays and backtracking much less painful.
The map now supports zoom and panning. You can zoom in a lot, drag it around, and actually read it properly. It looks a lot nicer too.
What comes next
Chapter 2, Part 2 is scheduled for October.
Thank you to everyone playing and reporting bugs. Feedback goes straight into the next update, so keep it coming in the discussions.
