Thank you for using Desktop Mate!
We're excited to announce that Miyamai Moca, the speech synthesis software character from AHS Co. Ltd., is coming to Desktop Mate! Miyamai Moca DLC will launch on Tuesday, September 29, 2026! The Steam store page is live as of today, Thursday, September 24.
✨ Desktop Mate Miyamai Moca DLC ✨
Announced by AHS Co. Ltd. in 2023 and released as the text-to-speech software "VOICEPEAK" and the vocal synthesis software "Synthesizer V," Miyamai Moca is now coming to your desktop. She's a high school sophomore who isn't great with people, but is very good at talking to cats.
This DLC features Watson-kun, the little black cat Miyamai Moca keeps at home. While she's relaxing in her seated pose, Watson-kun sometimes wanders over, and Moca can't resist burying her face in that soft fur. But she goes a little too far, gets swatted away, and Watson-kun makes a run for it — leaving Moca frozen in place. We captured all of it, right down to the aftermath.
In her standing pose, she pulls out a magnifying glass and starts searching for something, then looks smug about it whether or not she actually found anything. When she leaps out of a window, she lands in her "Kanpeki Miyamai" (Perfect Miyamai) pose. At other moments, she blushes, fidgets, or slips the headphones from around her neck over her ears to quietly listen to music — the unguarded gestures she'd only make when no one's watching. When the alarm rings, she appears from the bottom of the screen and offers you a cup of tea.
Her voice is newly recorded by voice actress Mayu Mineda. Most of her lines are addressed to Watson-kun, filled with half-muttered thoughts like "Is this… a case? …What do you think, Watson-kun?" that she can't help directing at her cat.
A "cat-sniffing" motion featuring her black cat Watson-kun, as she buries her face in his fur
Detective-inspired motions, from searching with a magnifying glass to striking her "Kanpeki Miyamai" pose
A motion where she slips on her headphones and listens to music, hinting at her life as a DJ
A special alarm scene where she offers you a cup of tea
Newly recorded voice by voice actress Mayu Mineda
◯ Pair Her with Tsurumaki Maki Using the Multi-Character Feature 🍵
With Desktop Mate's multi-character feature, you can display two characters on your desktop at the same time. For Miyamai Moca, the pairing we'd recommend most is Tsurumaki Maki, released on Tuesday, September 15.
Moca loves tea, and her favorite spot is "Kissaten Maki" — the coffee shop run by Tsurumaki Maki's father. This DLC even includes voice lines like "Here's your reward for working hard! Tea from Maki-chan," so placing the two side by side brings that connection to life on your desktop.
*The multi-character feature is not currently supported on the Mac version (open beta).
