Sadly no updates this month on Ardron Universe.
TL;DR i'm not "Working" but i'm also not NOT working on AU.
I'm still programming things for everyone in my house going to Linux so they don't have to remember 98327947234 terminal commands, or keep asking me for them.
as well as designing programs for myself so I don't have to as well.
and making things for myself to help me be a better game dev.
On another note, I hate to say it, but streaming a bunch of random games, reminded me why i loved making mine so much.
So while i didn't do any programming for Ardron Universe, or any Assets for UI or anything.... I did have a very lengthly talk some mechanics in AoA.
Aaaaaaaaand spells will be done differently now.
This means creating a bit more UI for spells and hooking that up (won't take long. it's just a panel overlay lol)
BUT. i've taken my work from 0/7 levels of spells to 1/7 levels of spells overnight so ¯\\_(ツ)_/¯
guess im makin progress even tho im not working.
Even while programming in a different language, on another project... Still working constantly on AU.
This shit plagues my dreams.
Half of 2026 is over. Idk if i'll hit my jan 2027 deadline but... aint worried. The tools i making for myself will certainly help me manage a bit. What's mostly thrown a cog in the fuckin gears is server setup and dealing with a VPS, and security and such. That's not even working on AoA. that's just..........new infrastructure i had to learn and such.
So yeah when i made that prediction of 2027 janurary.
"AAA Server infrastructure and security" wasn't on my ******* agenda.
and also having to become a Linux engineer overnight too 🧐, but taking 2 months to do so(well 1.5. probably another 2 weeks if im honest. tbf i spent 4 on Daemon Protocol so. this is nothin), i've learned a lot. hell things i can even throw into AU.
and because of that. i might be making AU run on Linux natively again ¯\\_(ツ)_/¯
We'll see.
Plus a lot of life based things got in the way. house maintenance and such. You know how it is.
Been backlogged for a year on that due to needed supplies...
Got the supplies. Now i just need the time. I mostly do it on my off days(lmao who takes off days?) instead of...........working on my off days.
that's probably healthy.
ANYWAYS
TOODLES
