Development on Golf-Like is moving into a more focused and demanding phase. With 5 weeks left, our priority has shifted firmly toward depth, performance, and long-term playability.
Over the past weeks, we’ve been heavily optimizing the game. Instead of relying on a single, static map structure, we developed a custom algorithm that dynamically builds gameplay spaces. This system is still actively evolving, but it already allows us to create more flexible, replayable, and performance-friendly environments.
This change wasn’t just technical. It directly affects how the game feels to play. The new structure gives us finer control over pacing, difficulty curves, and flow all critical for a game that depends on precision and rhythm.
At the same time, we’re refining the game’s theme and tone. Our goal is not abstraction for its own sake, but something more grounded:
a game that pulls the player into focused, immersive worlds without losing its minimalist identity.
We’re continuing to iterate on this system daily. Some parts are still being tuned, some are being rebuilt entirely and that’s intentional. This phase is about building a foundation that can carry the full experience.
More updates soon as we get closer to release.
