Howdy, Rancherssssss!
Welcome back to the Ssssssslithering Digessssssst!
Scaling Up is now the focus of our development! Now that we have completed and released the 1.0 of our other game Crafty Survivors on May 16th, we have been back focusing on the development of Scaling Up.
To start, we are reworking the Demo based on some feedback from our community and other things we have planned, and we will be updating it in the future, with adjusted mechanics to improve the experience of the game.
Let's talk a bit about some of the things in the next version of the demo:
Gathering Spot Interaction
Something that was missing in the initial demo and we wanted to add when we could was the ability to assign workers directly to the Gathering Spots (Trees, Rocks, Grasses and Fishing Spots). As players may have noticed, the slots had a plus (+) sign on these spots, but their functionality was missing. This will be working in the new version of the demo as intended, which will allow players to have more options of assigning Snakes.

This is only available for Snakes, since the Dragon can be directly assigned by right clicking on a desired spot, which is a lot more straightforward.
Directly Select Snakes
Another feature coming in the demo is the ability to directly select a Worker Snake in the area instead of relying on the Building. This will open the same Menu as before, with the Snake already selected, making it easier to change equipments, reassign work and other important features for each Snake.
This feature will be available for worker snakes that leave their building to work, such as Gatherers and Fishers, among others.

Caretaker Temple and Python Stations changes
We are changing the way these buildings work inside the game. Instead of directly telling the Snakes where to go, both buildings will have a pre-determined working area and Snakes residing on these facilities will automatically work on any buildings inside their area. Players won't have to manage Snakes separately anymore, but Snakes won't work on facilities far away from their own building.

The area of these buildings start small and through the Research system players will be able to increase the size of the working area.
Other News
In the future we are going to start a "Design Your Snake" contest for the community in different platforms, so players can have a chance to make some Snake designs of their own and maybe some can be added to the final game.
I will give more information about this contest later in another Slithering Digest. So for those interested in it, don't miss out.
This is all for the Sssssslithering Digesssst today!
Until the next one!
