Hey Gang!
We're very excited to be getting Cruft into Early Access. It's been a while since we did a community update, but rest assured we've been hard at work. Here's a bit of what we have worked on:
The tutorial now guides players through the basics of the game including how to craft, how to make cash money, and how to choose to move on to a new yard.
You can get "Cheevos" for crafting certain lists of items and then moving on to a new yard. Cheevos give you permanent bonuses on subsequent playthroughs. If you're ever lost for what to do next, check the Cheevos app.
We've made a ton of improvements to the overall presentation and flow of the game based on feedback from the Demo.
There are multiple levels! Each has it's own flavor and degree of challenge.
Hardening. We've taken a good chunk of time and made the game more durable. That's the nice way of saying that we've updated a bunch of code to operate better/faster/safer.
Early Access should be a fun ride. There's still lots more to add to the game with your feedback. Much more content to create, but also some whole new features to bring online. In the coming days I'll leak some more info on what the road ahead has in store.
Anyhoo, thanks a bunch for all the support so far. Feel free to drop into the Discord if you'd like to get in touch, and from all two of us here, we hope you enjoy watching Cruft grow.
