Hello, my friends!
I'll soon begin implementing the other two factions, Insects and Dinosaurs, into a near-permanent form.
In this regard, I thought it would be nice to brainstorm together about the next questions.
ATTENTION: THESE QUESTIONS ARE FUNDAMENTAL FOR THE FUTURE OF THE GAME, SO ANSWER AS MANY AS YOU CAN, USING BOTH YOUR HEART AND YOUR HEAD!!!
1) Let's start with the names of the factions. What do you suggest?
I'll give you a few options I like, but feel free to write your own.
If the names are good, they could be kept for the future HW2.
Toy Soldiers: Army, Alliance, Coalition, Home Force.
Insects: Invertebrates, Swarm, Hive, Crawlers.
Dinosaurs: Dinosaurs, Ancients, Predators, Herd, Beasts, Ferals.
2) Should the insects have realistic attacks?
I've already asked you this question, and you were surprised to say no. I was very pleased, because it allows me to let my imagination run wild.
Are you sure you don't want the insects to be too realistic?
Let me give you some examples:
- Large scorpions could slam their tails on the ground and generate local micro-earthquakes.
- Fireflies could spit corrosive/incendiary liquid.
- Some insects could shoot acid balls.
What do you think?
If you like these ideas, help me find more!
3) Should we adopt more realism for the Dinosaurs?
It's more difficult for our reptile friends to come up with imaginative attacks; in fact, I see them more inclined to have abilities/power-ups.
I was thinking of things like:
- Temporarily increased armor.
- Temporarily increased health.
- Frontal charging.
- Increased speed and jump.
I'm really counting on you guys to give me ideas, because I don't have many on this.
I'd prefer not to use weapons on dinosaurs for now; I see that more as an HW2 thing.
Since these are VERY IMPORTANT questions, I'd rather not ask you any more for now, so you can focus on these 3 answers.
I won't be able to respond for a few days, so don't panic :D
If you have any ideas, suggestions, or (constructive) criticism, don't be afraid to message me under one of my posts.
I need to know what you think of the ideas I propose, and if you don't speak up, I can't know what's going on in your head!
We need to play a good game here, guys!
