Not only is matter and energy altered in the warped universe, one’s perception of chronicity can be commanded in unexpected ways. Unfettered by the biological limitations of synaptic impulse potential, a mind can choose to move the echo in a more natural way, or process inputs in a state which may feel that time itself is standing still.
Drawing from our passion for diverse gaming experiences, we have developed an innovative design that integrates multiple genres within a single environment. This allows players to select their mission and then choose their preferred gameplay style, whether real-time action or turn-based strategy. Both genres utilize the same weapons, skills, damage systems, and mechanics, creating a fluid transition that enhances immersion, increases engagement, and broadens appeal.
Real-Time Action
As a third-person action shooter, both as a character on the ground, or a ship up in space, this gameplay style caters to fast-paced thrill-seekers.
Turn-Based Strategy
This top-down game style is ideal for players who prefer a more tactical approach. Utilizing action points and dice rolls to determine the outcomes of your missions.
Play Your Way
By allowing players to select how they engage with each mission, Warped Universe caters to a wide range of playstyles while encouraging collaboration across the community. This innovative approach draws on the preferred mechanics of popular real-time games like Fortnite and Helldivers 2, as well as successful turn-based strategy mechanics found in Dungeons and Dragons and XCOM, making Warped Universe appeal to an audience with diverse gaming preferences.
