Wintery Greetings all Bizarre Bulletin Subscribers!
We are happy to announce that we estimate to be done with 70 % of the background artwork at the end of the year. This is great because we also need to start focus on getting final renders of the different characters. Too bad there is only so much time each day - if someone wants to send us a shipment of coffee (or maybe a babysitter) it might improve the production rate greatly :)
The map we did for the Kickstarter campaign is also updated to better suit the rest of the artwork. There is also a new location added since then - take a look and see if you can identify it!
Art process - Sketch - Detailed Sketch - Final Render
This image was published on social media as a way to market the game. It shows how the concept sketch is transferred into the final rendering. There is a step in-between also where we get a detailed sketch first in order to make sure everything is in order and then we give the go-ahead for coloring. The process is very straightforward and works very well for this kind of game. A big portion of the funds from the Kickstarter is directed to our main artist for these kinds of images - they are truly the backbone of the game!
Help us spread the word
Please help us out by sharing our posts on social media and tell your friends about the game! The more wishlists we have when we launch, the better. Also you can use this linktree if you want to follow us on more places than this. If you have any feedback on the project we are happy to hear from you!
Shoutouts!
We have been talking a bit with the guys behind Purple Peacock - two twin brothers from Greece. They are cooking up a game of their own and it looks great!
The Mystery of Doomsday Valley recently got some appreciation from the influencer / streamer Kastaclysm who did a playthrough of the demo. It seems she had a great time playing it!
And for our French wishlisters - a short news article
on GameTrip.net:
We will be back with more updates in January. Until then - have a nice holiday and make sure you allocate at least a couple of hours to some of the great point-n-click games out there! We both has quite a backlog and I'm sure some of you also are in the same position - so the winter holidays can be a great way to get some gaming time!
Best regards
Pierre and Karl
