Hi everyone! It's been an interesting week since I launched the game. We lost power and internet for a while here in the Greater Seattle Area, and that made me realize I needed an offline mode for the game; without internet to connect to steam, you can't play! So I added the ability to create an offline game that works without a Steam Connection, but games that are offline don't earn achievements or get spots on the leaderboards.
https://steamcommunity.com/id/Zaxtor99/ was kind enough to provide a 30 minute walkthrough and had lots of great feedback, in particular about doing something to have things like combat be more engaging. That got me pondering what I could do, and as a first pass, I built a detailed combat mode. In this mode, you fight monsters much more like a tabletop game. Each phase of combat (your attacks, enemy attacks, you ally's attacks) is paused until you click for the dice to be rolled. As enemies take damage, you will see a broken glass/blood spatter pattern becoming more and more intense. And you get to see the die being dropped and rolled, which I gotta tell you was way more work than I expected!!
Finally, I fixed high score screen to properly select/show the Easy difficulty leaderboard.
Happy adventuring!
Craig
