Hey everyone!
This is a bit sudden, but Switchblade has had to be renamed. I was aware that the game shared the name of another game called Switchblade for some time, but was under the impression it wouldn't be an issue because this one is so much smaller. However, I've since been made aware that THAT Switchblade is actually trademarked, so to avoid any legal trouble I've renamed the game to Blade Rush. Some of you have been aware of this issue for some time, as I've been slowly renaming the game in other locations.
Saves should still work. The game will move your save over to the new location, and if something messes up, the save before starting the new update will still be available under Switchblade in the typical directory (%AppData%/Roaming). That folder will not be deleted, so you may want to clean it up yourself.
I also have a bug fix, so here is a changelog.
- Updated all names of Switchblade to refer to Blade Rush, or just Blade (if referring to the ship).
- Fixed a bug where dying in the same frame that a Redirector grabs you would cause a crash.
- Updated Switchblade logo to Blade Rush logo.
- Updated saving directory to blade-rush.
Please, if you notice any bugs or issues or places where the old name persists, don't hesitate to let me know! It's been a long process to get the game renamed and updated, so fingers crossed I didn't miss anything. Thanks!
