Work on The Soul is actively ongoing, and it’s time to share what has changed over the past few months. Our third-person adventure action game with voice control mechanics is steadily moving toward Early Access, and the world where monster hunters have been fighting an ancient war for centuries is becoming more alive and detailed.
“In a parallel universe of The Soul, humanity has long learned to coexist with creatures most people would rather never encounter. Vampires, demons, and other dark beings have learned to hide among humans, while the Wardens have spent centuries secretly hunting monsters. One of them is Max Soul, a man for whom a routine mission turns into something far bigger than just another hunt.”
While Max’s story continues to evolve, we’d like to share what we’ve already managed to achieve.
Early Access is almost ready

The team is now focused on polishing levels, testing, and filling the environments with detail and life.
In addition to the locations featured in the demo, we've also completed several new locations that will be included in the Early Access release. These include:
The Bar
Silver Manor
The Murky Swamp
The Hospital
The Police Station
New features and weapon progression

We’ve implemented a weapon upgrade system. Both the crossbow and the pistol can now be gradually improved, increasing their stats and adapting them to different playstyles.
Most of the animations are already complete and are currently in final refinement.
Cutscenes and enemy development

Around two-thirds of the Early Access cutscenes are already done. Some story sequences are fully finished, while the team is now working on the last three cutscenes that will wrap up the main narrative arcs of the first part of the story.
We’ve also significantly overhauled the AI for both regular enemies and bosses. Players will face three unique boss fights in Early Access.
Boss development has been one of the most challenging parts of production. Beyond programming, it required a huge amount of animation work, balancing, and designing fights that feel genuinely engaging and memorable.
Voice control mechanics

One of The Soul’s core features remains its voice control system. Over the past months, we’ve almost completely rebuilt it to improve command recognition quality and make interactions feel more natural.
The system is currently being tested across multiple languages, while we continue improving its stability and accuracy.
What’s next?

Ahead of us is final polishing, finishing the last cutscenes, and preparing the game for Early Access.
We’ll keep sharing monthly development updates, showing new materials, and talking about how The Soul continues to evolve.
Thanks for following the project, and don’t forget to wishlist the game.
