Polytropos: A Tactical Odyssey is a roguelite turn-based strategy RPG. Echidna, mother of monsters, has unleashed myriad foes across the Aegean. Olympus calls for aid - recruit armies, cultivate skills, and invoke divine aid to save the realm and become a legendary hero!
Features of the full launch version include:
Fast-paced but deep tactical combat, in the vein of classic turn-based strategy games
6 Greek god patrons, each offering unique units, epithets, and prophecies
5 phases of gameplay, including a climactic battle against Echidna, mother of monsters. Echidna summons enemy heroes from previous phases, so watch out!
Roguelite gameplay loop, where each run takes around an hour, and new content is available during each run
Progression unlocks, including 7 total heroes, new battlefield layouts, and new unlockable prophecies
Native modding support - all gameplay content is driven by user-editable text files, which also allow new factions to be easily created
