Void Scout has reached Beta content complete! All core missions, story elements, enemies, and mechanics are now in place. There's still refinement ahead, but the finish line is in sight. Here’s what’s new behind the scenes:
Expanded Active Skills
Seven upgradeable active abilities now give more options for combat and survival, now including:
- Flashbangs - Stun enemies and buy precious seconds.
- Nanocharge - Instantly resets all nanotech cooldowns.
- Rush - A desperate push to break through a swarm.
- Flares - A sci-fi horror classic - damages enemies and provides lasting light.
Expanded Passive Skills
Seven passive abilities help with offense, defense, and resource management, with these newly added:
- Might - Buffs melee damage, letting you conserve ammo by fighting harder with whatever melee weapons you find - or your fists.
- Analyst - Only increases visibility, giving little tactical advantage, but will the bonus XP gains be worth it?
Pair Skills
Maxed-out skills can now be combined into pairs and upgraded further, allowing three active and three passive abilities all at once. Find the combination that suits your style the best, to maximize your chances of survival.
Tension Events Expanded
The Void Director has new ways to keep you off-balance with classic sci-fi surprises - steam vents suddenly block vision, doors go into lockdown, and more.
Boss Fights Upgraded
Boss battles are now even deadlier, featuring these new possibilities:
- Multi-boss encounters, for when one isn’t enough
- Teleporting enemies so stop you escaping
- Reinforcement calls and regeneration mechanics if you let the pressure drop
- Special attacks, attacking with surprising range or other capabilities
All 8 Missions & Story Complete
The full campaign is now in place, pitting the Void Scout against the infected humans, mutants, Rovakar, Zepharith, all kinds of haywire combat bots… and the Exoforms.
The Finale Is In
The final mission and ending sequence are complete. Alyssa’s journey will reach its conclusion… but what will her fate be?
The core game is now complete, with final polish and balancing ahead. Wishlist Void Scout on Steam and follow for updates - you won’t want to miss what’s next!
