Happy Easter! 🐣🥚 Did someone say Easter Eggs? 👀
It's been a busy few months in the dungeon – this is one of our biggest updates yet! Combat has been completely overhauled from the ground up, there's a brand new item system, and we've packed in a ridiculous amount of polish and new content.
Here are the highlights:
Combat overhaul – dashing replaces the old stamina system, enemies now parry and have unique behaviors and movesets, and a new stagger mechanic lets you interrupt enemies with a well-timed shield bash.
Shield Bashing is performed by dashing forward while using your mana shield forward and can stagger enemies, stun groups with an AoE shockwave, and smash through destructible rubble blocking hidden areas.
Charms are a brand new equipment system! Find charms in the dungeon that grant magical abilities and encourage you to mix up your playstyle.
The Skelly Captain has a new look, a fearsome two-handed sword, and a unique moveset including a nasty pull attack.
Boss encounters redesigned with new attack patterns and more interesting arenas.
Potions and food items can now be picked up and used when needed demand using the Quick Slot Item system.
Brewmaster's Tavern is open for business with a new model and a shop stocked with consumables.
The map is now movable and has an updated UI with new icons and behaviors.
New enemies lurking deeper in the dungeon... stay tuned 👻
Controller support with default bindings and improved input handling.
Tutorial menu added to the main menu to make it easy to revisit any tutorial at any time.
The Spell Book has a new tab system to show quests, equipment, upgrades, and more.
Numerous UI tweaks and updates.
Major art and performance pass – new textures, models, decorations, cobwebs, and sound effects throughout!
A couple of actual easter eggs hidden in the game. Happy hunting! 🥚
...plus hundreds of bug fixes and quality-of-life tweaks under the hood!
