Heyas! It has been a while and I want to apologize for the (severe) lack of communication on my part, but the update had taken longer that I had hoped due to technical issues regarding the multiplayer feature - which is still either unstable or not working at all :D
First off, let's talk about the multiplayer. It doesn't really work but the options are there to either Find or Host a session. The programmer and I are still in communication about what is happening and trying to fix it. I'll keep ya'll posted once it is fixed.
Second, the weapons can now level up! That's right, now whenever you pick up, for example, an Iron Sword while you either have one equipped or there's already one in your inventory, that will level up. And by "level up" I mean the stats will slightly increase until the weapon (including shields) reaches level 10. Once it does reach max level, a new (fixed) stat will be added. I don't expect all the weapons to be perfect and totally not broken, but any feedback would be great!
Credits! Yes! There is now a "Credits" option within the Main Menu screen. This will be updated regularly as I want to give credit to those I have either hired or using their assets through FAB (Epic's Marketplace). Always give credit where credit is due.
Keys and Doors! Although I haven't had time to fully implement this - which I will be working on this weekend, certain doors (and chests!) will require one of the following key types: Bronze, Silver, and Gold. Bronze keys will open up passage ways that allow the player to normally progress through the game and some basic chests. Silver keys will open areas with monsters on a slightly more difficulty scale - but with better rewards! Last, the Gold keys open up both boss doors - be it dungeon progression or otherwise. As for redesign of the first dungeon, that will happen and be implemented once things have been optimized and thoroughly checked.
I wish I could say when the next update will be, but with being a dad/husband and working a full-time job, I haven't had the time I wish I did to get things going faster. Best way to do it for now is by hiring those who are more skilled than I to get it all done. I depend on the success of this game and the feedback as well. Speaking of which, the combat will be changed from your typical ARPG to more of tab-targeting, but that will occur once I have the budget for it.
Thank you all again for your support, and please make sure to join the Discord server!
