Today we're talking about Game Modes! There are two of them that will come on launch day and two more that we are still working on to come after!
Battle Mode
The true essence of Roombattle.
Classic mode alternates between two types of rounds: Battle and Minigame. It has everything you want in a party game — variety, fast pace, interactive objects, and minigames to shake up the leaderboard at any moment.
Setup options:
Lobby: Public or Private (with password)
# Rounds: Adjustable
Minigame Interval: Control how often a Minigame round appears between Battle rounds
Bots: Adjustable number + difficulty (Easy :) Medium :| Hard >:D)
Point System Designed to keep the gap between players tight, each round gives points depending on how long you stay alive, so try not to be the first one to die! When all is said and done, whoever has the most points wins.
Minigame Rounds Every few Battle rounds the game switches things up with a crazy minigame. The winner receives a mystery skill to use in the next round. They can completely flip the ranking, so never count anyone out.
Glitch Mode
It feels like Roombattle if the brainstorming didn't have any filter.
Every crazy idea that came to the programmers' minds is now implemented in Glitch mode. Every round has a random modifier activated, drastically changing how the game feels. Expect anything.
Here are some examples:
Modifier | Vibe |
ONE BALLOON | We live only once |
FASTER VACUUMS | Robots must be second gen |
BIGGER BALLOONS | The squats are paying off! |
INVERSE BALLOONS | What? Do I have something in my face? |
ULTRA MODE | Can't do anything but this is so fun |
BATTLE ROYALE | Darkness is so scary |
NON STOP VACUUMS | They won't stop chasing me! |
DISCOVER ALL AT LAUNCH |

More to come!
Balloon Mayhem — A new way to compete: forget battle points, it's all about how many balloons you pop.
Team Mode — Battle Mode's chaos, but shared. Fight alongside your friends and win together.
And that’s it for today, keep playing and kicking your friends’ ass! Meanwhile we’ll keep fixing the game…
