Our wishlists are currently sitting at just below 3,300 - we are still feeling good from the Alpha Beta Gamer review and video (see below), and we're hoping that lots of cool activity in the next couple of months should boost that a little further.
This should put us roughly on track for the 7-10K wishlists any game needs to rise above the massive saturation of Steam. Of course the sky's the limit and we really hope to smash this minimum, but for now every wishlist counts so thank you if you have already wishlisted and encouraged others to do so.

We are so excited to announce the results of our EmberxAVCon Fan Art competition. First prize was this amazing clay polymer sculpture by Shane Bevin:
Everyone who saw it loved this entry so much - from the medium to the sense of action and gore that is just so Ember, it was a standout.
Second prize went to Skye, who went to the effort of painting an Ember triptych in oils:

We loved the effort and time put into this one to work with the media.
There were so many other great entries, so Dishonourable mentions go to Mechanised Convulsions for a rad music track, old mate Townsey for End of Emgame, Miss Cherrybomb (with not just one, but two and three entries), and one of our all time favourites Cheetoh.
Thanks to everyone for their entries: we loved the creativity and energy and are so grateful for everyone's input. We'll be posting all these to our socials and as you might know, we love including them in the game as well.
Long live fan art!
Finally, we are so excited to be featured in the ANZ Indie Showcase and Indiefest, starting on the 5th of September! Check us out along with 47 other amazing games from Australia and New Zealand.

We had been hoping to get our Demo (full beta build) out on Steam by the end of October, but sadly realised that just wasn't achievable (indie lyfe, yo). So we are currently planning to try and define a new demo release date, and we think that will be in early 2026, so stay tuned!
At the moment we are driving towards out PAX Build, which will not only be playable live at PAX Australia (10th-12th October, 2025) - we will of course make this build available via Steam. we are committed to making the most current version of the game available to everyone all the time so no-one misses out.
In the meantime you can always play End of Ember via Steam Playtest: just go to our store page and mash the Playtest button:

Why not invite a Steam friend to check it out while you're there?

Thanks to the SAFC, Chad and Dan attended the Trade floor at GamesCom in August, which was a great opportunity to meet publishers, platform representatives, and generally bring Ember to the world. Plus the hotdogs were great.

Bad Plan is kicking along as always, but we are also excited to announce that we have grown our team slightly: welcome to Adam and Matt who are joining us as Technical Director and Programmer, respectively. They joined us on the booth at AVCon and they are helping Eli with all the gnarly programming stuff that works under the hood of the game.

With our core team in place we are excited for what's to come! Thanks for following along and seeya next time.
Luv
Dan, Eli, Chad, Adam and Matt
