The Last Dig just got its first major update! Just to knock you out of your comfort zone, it's time to meet new threats in the abyss.

🛠️ New Threats Below
You'll now be hunted by rival miners who are just as hungry for minerals as you are. These guys are excited for a chance to pick your drill apart for scrap.
If you hear them, it's time to stop drilling. Enemy miners will feel the vibrations from your drill and go on the hunt.
💥 New Attack
To help deal with the new threat, you now have a "dive attack" ability. But make sure you stay stocked up on dynamite, you don't want to have deal with these guys up close.

Fix: Tutorial merchant now spawns correctly in cases where player dies just before tutorial starts
Fix: No longer teleporting on some collisions

Fix: Animation no longer snaps downward while digging sideways
