Now that AetherShot has been released, it's time to share the plan going forward! In the next couple weeks, I'll mainly going to be collecting feedback, fixing bugs and doing some cleanup work behind the scenes, taking it slower than the pre-early access dev cycle. In the meantime, our artist will be working on the NPCs more to bring them to life, as well as some better dungeon tilesets!
After those couple weeks it'll be time to get into gear on a number of things, and depending on feedback will help prioritize somethings over others!
Currently these are the things planned for the short term:
- Interface improvements, particularly the spell workbench and crafting
- Cloud Saves
- Improvements to enemy AI and combat system
- Making a basic map available immediately, but upgrading it further as a possibility
- Balance changes
- Reworking the well room to be more interesting and useful
In the medium term:
- Mid-trial saving
- Cutscenes and more interactable story bits
- Challenge modifiers
- Custom Music and Sound effects
- More enemies, bosses and rooms for existing floors
- A final floor and boss
- New Runes, Elements and Vessels
- Endless and Wave Modes
- Achievements
Other sprite improvements will come as our artist finishes them!
