After a year of development, the alpha demo is live!
NOTE: Steam Deck users may not see the demo button on the store page. Click "Download Demo" on desktop to add it to your library, then launch via Steam Deck.
This demo includes about 1/6th of the final game, and should take between 10-20 hours to complete (depending on how much of a completionist you are).
This demo includes the core farming mechanics, fishing, some limited animal husbandry, crafting, cooking, and the first "level" of the game's first dungeon, complete with main boss and mini bosses.
There is also a ton of optional/side content to help you get to the end in whichever way you please, at whatever pace.
Alpha Stuff
This alpha build has been tested by some very dedicated testers over on our Discord, but I'm sure there will be plenty of bugs to report now that the "real" launch is here, so do not hesitate to report any bug in the community tab or on our Discord.
This is an alpha, so be sure to save often and in multiple save slots!
Game updates should be compatible with older saves generally, but be sure to check the patch notes when a new update releases to ensure that your save will carry over, and do not be afraid to back up your saves folder just in case - I cannot guarantee anything this early in development, and if I have to break saves to fix something crucial, I will.
To offset the potential game-breaking and bugs, there is a cheat mode enabled in the difficulty settings which should help you get back to where you were in the event that you do lose a save.
Feedback and Bug Reports
With this being an alpha demo, feedback is crucial.
Please report ant bugs, but do not hesitate to also give game balance feedback, feature suggestions, and any other feedback you can think of. I will be reading all of it!
Community
As mentioned above, we have a Discord server.
You can find it on our steam page, and also via an in-game link on the title screen.
We also have a Patreon!
You can find it in our "website" link on our Steam page. Patreon supporters have access to future development builds of the game beyond the Demo, which will continuously be posted all the way until the final release. Patreon is a great way to support development while also experiencing the game as it comes together in real time. The next major update will double the town size and add a whole new "dungeon" area, so consider supporting the development if you'd like to see what that looks like.
