Hello, I’m Yiwei, game director at Kurechii.
Some of you may know us from the Postknight series — bite-sized delivery RPGs full of heart and peril. Abyssfall: Seekers Within is the other side of what we love making: a tighter, more intense game for players who enjoy systems, tactics, and a little mystery.
Abyssfall is a grid-based action roguelike about descending a tower buried beneath the desert, uncovering the ruins of a fallen civilisation, and realising its arcane technology might rewrite history. It’s real-time, not turn-based: you move and fight on a grid, but we’ve spent years tuning it so that it flows — every dash, strike, and decision should feel fast, readable, and satisfying.
Who We’re Making This For
This game is niche by design. It’s for players who:
Enjoy thinking about positioning, timing, and builds.
Prefer clear feedback and numbers over noisy, flashy chaos.
Care about how a game feels frame-to-frame, not just how it looks in a trailer.
If you’ve ever looked at a grid-combat game and wished it felt more fluid and intentional, that’s the space we’re trying to live in.
What We Believe In
We’re building Abyssfall with a very specific philosophy:
It’s a premium game, designed as a complete experience at launch.
We’d rather make something a little smaller and more polished than stretch the game to fit a business model.
Supporting Abyssfall should feel like supporting games that put craft and fairness first, not like signing up for another system that wants your time and wallet.
What You Can Expect Here
Over the coming months, I’ll be sharing a monthly devlog here on Steam, talking about things like:
How we’re making grid combat feel responsive and readable.
The characters and relationships that grow as you descend the tower.
Design decisions that went right — and the ones that didn’t.
If any of this resonates with you, a wishlist genuinely helps us a lot at this stage. It tells Steam there are players who care about this kind of game, and it gives us more room to keep obsessing over the details.

Thank you for reading this first entry.
We’re still early in the descent, but I’m excited to share more of the tower with you.
