Hello, everyone!
Today we'd like to share how development of True Thief is progressing and what the team has been working on over the past few months.
For those discovering the project for the first time, here's a quick introduction.
True Thief is a dark isometric Stealth RPG set in the year 848 in the city of Orlund. While the city's elite indulge in wealth and corruption, ordinary people struggle to survive in the filthy alleys of the Slums District.
You play as Envent Noct, a man who has lost almost everything except his ability to remain unseen. In True Thief, killing isn't the goal. True mastery lies in staying hidden, infiltrating places where no one should ever set foot, and uncovering secrets that have remained buried in the shadows for centuries.
Orlund Continues to Grow

We've now fully completed the game's first district, the Slums.
In addition, we've finished building the second major location: the Harbor District. This large area is divided into three distinct zones: the residential quarter, the cemetery, and the docks. Each offers its own atmosphere, stealth routes, and hidden secrets waiting to be discovered.
The third major location is the Sewers. Here, the tone becomes much darker as elements of horror gradually begin to blend with the game's stealth-focused gameplay.
New Gameplay Mechanics

We're continuing to expand the player's toolkit and create more opportunities for creative stealth gameplay.
Recently we've implemented:
Crouching mechanics
Crawling through narrow spaces
A system for pushing and moving objects
A full save/load system
A redesigned quest menu that is both more convenient and better aligned with the game's visual style
Our goal is for every mechanic to feel natural while giving players more freedom in how they approach each situation.
Cutscenes and Characters

Three of the seven planned cutscenes for the second level are now complete. These scenes help reveal more of Envent Noct's story while introducing players to other inhabitants of Orlund.
Character production is also moving forward. Models for the protagonist, the innkeeper, the gravedigger, and several townsfolk are already finished.
Our current focus is one of the story's key characters: a young thief whose fate will become closely intertwined with Envent's journey.
Masks of Fate
We're also paying special attention to collectible items.
Throughout the game, players will discover mysterious masks hidden across the world. Each one reflects a different chapter of the protagonist's past and draws inspiration from the symbolism of Tarot cards.
We don't want to reveal too much just yet, but these collectibles will help players better understand both Envent himself and the deeper lore of the world.
What's Next?

Development is moving steadily forward. There are still plenty of new mechanics, characters, cutscenes, and secrets ahead that we're not quite ready to reveal.
Little by little, Orlund is coming to life, and the shadows of its streets are beginning to tell more and more stories.
Thank you for following the development of True Thief. We'll continue sharing monthly development updates, and if you haven't already, be sure to add the game to your Steam Wishlist.
