Hello everyone,
First of all: Happy Easter!
Over the past few weeks, I’ve been very busy preparing what will likely be the final demo version. It will go online in the next few days, and I’m really looking forward to your feedback.
After that, I’ll be fully focusing on finishing the main game and will try to post an update on the current progress once a month.
A lot has happened in the meantime (I’m only listing what concerns the demo / Chapter 1 to avoid spoilers):
Many new game sounds have been added
New UI elements and icons
The day-night system has been refined (including improved indirect lighting)
Players can now choose in the options menu whether they prefer a sharper or softer art style
A working TV and radio have been added
Fina’s pathfinding has been improved
New sniffing routes and POIs have been added
Fina now has more dialogue options and reacts more dynamically to the player’s story progress
Optimization of models and vegetation in the world (improves performance depending on the system by about 10–30%)
Interaction with the dog trailer has been improved
Doors are now less prone to trapping the player in or out
A bug with the kindergarten’s power supply has been fixed
Light sources in the world are now less glaring (thanks for the feedback)
Many hitboxes have been adjusted
Various other bug fixes not listed individually
There’s still a lot to do, but I’m on it. Wishing you all a great time. See you next update!
