Surprise my Anuran pals! It’s FROG DAY!!!!!!!!!
It’s a very special time of year, one that all semi-aquatic, short-bodied, tailless amphibians enjoy. In order to celebrate this momentous holiday, the No Happy Days team has prepared a small update in anticipation of the upcoming DLC! Kick those webbed feet back, we’ve got some exciting news in store!
First off, we have a new producer!
My friend, Anna, is joining the game dev team as the producer! As I’m freelancing for other indie games, I’ve realized that I could use some help with the schedules, organization, and production side of game development. In other words, Anna will help make sure the game is out, well-made, and on time!
Here’s a little message from Anna for y’all!:
Next, we have some announcements on the upcoming DLC!
Overworld finished
The Overworld is officially complete! The new content has been successfully implemented, including a save/load system and new art assets. New ambiance for a new area, and new sounds and voices for new characters.
Rhythm mechanic finished
The core rhythm minigame system is finished! This is probably the biggest task when it comes to the creation of the DLC, so we’re excited to announce that it’s reached its final iteration!
WE HAVE A NEW DISCORD!!!!
You heard that right! There’s a new space for the No Happy Days community! I always love hearing what you guys have to share about the game, whether it be theories on lore or glitch hunting. Let’s all do it together in the Discord server! I’d also love to hear what the community wants from this update, so I can make sure it’s everything the community has hoped for!

So, what’s next?
Now that there’s a producer on the team, I can focus more of my attention on the game development side of things. We already have an internal release deadline and schedule set! We will be releasing updates both here and on our new Discord server. Thank you for following the development of No Happy Days!
Anyway, it’s the holiday season! Take some time with your loved ones, and enjoy a nice glass of mosquito eggs on the pond rocks!
