Welcome back SOLDIERS!
It’s been a long and busy time since the last update, but now we’re back with more content! November 18th marks a milestone for this game and for our career as game developers. That’s when the game was released. It completely changed our perspective on game development and allowed us to grow.
But first...
Let's check what's changed:
🔫New Weapon - Kar98K + Scope
This is THE sniper rifle. You can show your skill by landing those juicy headshots from far away or pull off some no-scoping when you're in a pinch. Tell us in the comments what weapon you'd like to see next.
⚡Quickplay
This is now the default and intended way of playing the game. We found that many players were confused by the lobby system and struggled to find others to play with. Quickplay removes the burden of joining servers and creating lobbies and puts you straight into the game.
🧎♂️Crouching
The long-requested feature by the community. Now the fast-paced movement feels more complete and provides more ways to gain an advantage in fights.
🎥Third-Person Animations
While implementing crouching, we took the time to revise the old third-person animation system. We felt it looked janky and that we could do better than that. Now the gun is properly positioned and the character looks in the correct direction. We also added a different weapon position when aiming down sights and a shooting recoil effect. It should now be crystal clear who’s aiming at you.
❄️Winter Event is back!
All maps are now available in their winter variants with event decorations.🎄 The Santa hat is also back - very jolly.🎅 Merry Christmas, everyone!
❤️Future
Although we took a long break from developing Frontline Inferno, we weren’t slacking off on game development. Let us introduce our next game: Angel Engine. If you enjoy horror puzzle games, this one might be for you. Based on the analog horror series Angel Engine and set in a dystopian future, you step into the boots of a Babel-2 employee with the hope of saving humanity.
It’s a tad different from Frontline Inferno, but we hope it will come to your liking. Also, make sure to follow our studio’s Steam store page to stay up to date with our games - we’re just getting started!🚀
