Hi! I'm Lev, the writer.
I wanted to say hi and tell you about the demo we just put out. The saying hi part is now over—so here’s what the team and I are trying to do with Devil's Terminal:
The main character is supposed to be You. Now, of course I don't know You, but I'm pretty sure you were lost, confused, and socially anxious when you were sixteen. I'm also pretty sure you have an inner voice that can be overly judgy and mean. Weirdly, that is exactly the experience I want you to relive by playing Devil's Terminal. Sorry in advance. (If it helps, I already had to relive it twice—once to write the game and again while editing it.)
But You aren’t the only character in DT. Just like in our teenage years, the game is filled with other people—most of them way cooler than you. Try to make a good impression.
We also wanted to make an anime-stylized game for our fellow anime enjoyers, so we put actual Japanese art in it. Doesn't mean you have to like anime to play Devil's Terminal, but it'd be a lot cooler if you did.
Ok, but what is it about? Well, if you think about stuff like free will, the concept of adulthood, and sometimes find yourself obsessing about the way perception colors reality, you will find your thoughts somewhere in Devil's Terminal. It's supposed to give you a nice, warm feeling of being seen; look for it in your stomach or in whatever area your feelings were last seen in.
Now, I could say more, but I already did that in the demo, so I’ll stop here.
Have fun,
Lev, the writer
