you bring your hands to the note to its side.
its letters shift in and out of noise. some are harder to make out than others.

I miss you,
and I'm so sorry,
[CENSOR TONE]"
hello!
development is going.
not well. not bad. it's going.
we've decided to split this... "thing"... into 2 halves. that way you get it earlier, and we can have fun with talking about it.
(hopefully that also helps us get more hands and budget on board...? i hope...!)
right now we're on the second... "thing"... of 4. this is why i want to release it earlier. so we can actually talk about it in non-TOP SECRET terms. but i can still kinda give a roundabout update.
thing 1 is fully finished, other than a couple visuals here and there.
thing 2 is maybe an eighth finished content-wise, but very far along in the visuals.
things 3 and 4 are not yet started.
the beats are certain. the writing is being done as needed. in true aeden universe fashion, the first draft gives me a panic attack and makes me mortified as to why i got myself into the field of storytelling. then the second draft is fine. i actually prefer this writing that makes me scared because it means i'm writing out of my comfort zone of somber, poetic, ominous, and wistful writing that i can do with my eyes closed. it means i'm doing something new, which i always find better to doing something well. (but preferably it'd be both...?)
tom is not yet implemented, even though he already knows you and is your friend.
the three of them probably won't make it to the first half, and only to the full thing. it takes time to be punctual, you know...!
there is at least one REALLY, REALLY good song. and one with at least 1 melody that i think will surprise you.
here's an asset which will 100% be on the final version:
i can't stress this enough: this is SITTING!!! NOT!!!! WALKING!!!!! and DEFINITELY!!!!!!!!!!!! not a wide stance. so help me god if i see any of you FOOLS calling it anything other than SITTING DOWN. oh, the things i'll do...
it takes someone with the eye of an outstanding art director such as myself to come up with something like this. i know it can be disencouraging to some of you folk who dream to make art to look at something as grand as this. "i'll never reach this level of skill" - you might say. "next to this i look like a big doodoo head with butts for hands". and you'd be right. i was just born with einstein's hands. or darwin's. which one was the guy who painted? edwin? no, that guy made something else...
...whatever. they'll all be just side notes in art history after this image's used. art will have peaked and nobody will have to ever make art again.
hm...
when i put it like that...
you know, call off this being in the final version. i'll commission an artist to make their own version (because every png i touch turns to ultra-gold) and i'll incinerate this and bury the ashes in 6 layers of alternating lead-uranium, divided in the 1000 most remote locations in the known universe. and we won't talk abou this image ever again. humanity should never be this close to perfection...
anyway!
i'll see you when i have more news. until then!
...oh! and one last thing. this is important to me.
during the past couple months, everything ends in 0 has gotten some fake negative reviews. and some other reviews have seemingly disappeared out of nowhere...? some people just send a negative review for the game being "woke", and one person even changed their review from positive to negative because i didn't remove curse of binding off a chestplate they stole from someone else on my minecraft server...
everything ends in 0 is a rather small and niche game (even though it's bigger than i thought it'd be...!). each one of these count. and (even if it's positive but does something like use ai to generate a bunch of paragraphs about the game which it obviously gets wrong because it didn't play it in account of not having any hands), each review that misrepresents what the game makes it a little less likely that it ends up in the hands of people who would actually really love it.
if you would be willing, please, leave a review - i don't mind if it's positive or negative, short or long, spoiler-free or spoiler-paid, as long as it's honest and in good faith.
if you don't want to, it's ok too. just thought i'd bring this up un here.
