I am rolling out a midweek update for Frontier, bringing an updated map, a new POI-specific weapon (like the Katana, RPG, and the Scoped AR), new gameplay attributes, and overall fixes and improvements.
Added the following items:
- Ability to spawn up to 50 bots when hosting
- Added a new POI-specific weapon: Army Break-Action Rifle (2% chance of being found in crates at Bootcamp)
- Updated the Main Menu Island (removed burning airplane, added yellow grass)
- Fixed bots not moving to zone circle when in zone
- Added a new gameplay mechanic: Weapon Attachments
(you can now select your preferred attachment in the main menu that will give you an advantage in certain aspects of gameplay)
- Added the following attachments: No Attachment, Quick Mag, Drum Mag, Suppressor, Muzzle Brake, and Foregrip
- Added a new tab to the "Hero" section in the main menu: Attachments
- Replaced tropical trees in the Industry area with more autumn style trees
- Added a vignette, exposure, and depth of field post process to the Industry area
- Removed the fade and removed the slowed time dilation effect when the game ends and the winner is announced
- Increased shadow distance from 20000 to 50000
- Increased Global Light Volumetric Scattering from 1.0 to 4.0
