Day 1 Patch Notes – First Update Released!
Welcome to Day 1! Thank you all for jumping into the early version of the game — your feedback has been incredible, and we’ve worked quickly to deliver a solid first patch addressing both immediate bugs and improving your gameplay experience.
Localization & Text Fixes
Resolved an issue where some texts would briefly show localization keys (e.g. game.current_price) before being correctly translated. This should no longer occur when opening UI panels.
Fixed font fallback issues on Chinese, Japanese, and Cyrillic characters that caused incorrect formatting or default fonts to appear.
Customer AI Loop Improvements
Overhauled customer pathfinding and behavior logic to reduce idle crowding in front of shelves and exits.
Optimized spawn/despawn logic to ensure smoother traffic flow during peak hours.
Customers now react more appropriately to pricing changes, stock levels, and display quality — creating a more immersive and strategic economy loop.
UI & Gameplay Enhancements
Added transition delay handling to ensure all panels (like price editing screens) load with proper data and font before displaying.
Bug Fixes
Resolved an issue where hired staff would stop working after a game reload.
Inspector the cat now reliably performs (lazy) tasks without getting stuck in doorways or boxes.
Fixed random crashes caused by UI panels being activated out of order.
Adjusted store level unlocks to match intended design progression.
Cleaned up several debug logs that were unintentionally left active in the release build.
Performance & Stability
Reduced unnecessary memory usage on repeated UI activations.
Cat. There is a Cat, hire him.
Thanks again for playing! Please keep sending your feedback, reports, and funny screenshots — we’re actively working on the next content update with new systems, events, and more surprises. Stay tuned!
