Hello sweepers!
Hope you've all got a lovely bank holiday weekend ahead!
For this week's edition of Beyond the Grid, we asked the devs: Are there any Easter eggs or references in the game?
Yes, absolutely! There are a bunch of references to other games, as well as general pop culture and memes references!
The oldest one probably was the name of the permanent upgrade: “This ain’t Balatro” (since the genre has been coined Balatro-like), which disables you from using cards.
“Didn’t say Uno” grants you two more cards when you’re down to your last one.
“Kid named Finger” is a reference to a very specific but popular “meme”... And there’s a ton more!

Were you able to catch any of the other references in the game? Do let us know!
And ICYMI there was an update to the game last week
Fixed Mime Tile/Basic Tile interaction
Fixed Starter Kit Permanent
Fixed Mine Count panel while the Glitch trap was active
Fixed false numbers on certain basic tiles
Balanced chances of certain upgrades appearing in shop
This is just the start and the team is working on further updates taking your feedback and reviews into account!
Have a fab weekend folks and we'll see you next week:)
