Hi again! Soultracer Dev here, Silent Archangel Studios
It’s been a few months since the last update, so I wanted to share what’s been happening with the development of Soultracer here on Steam.
First off, if you’d like to follow the game more closely, I post more frequent updates on the official Twitter/X and Bluesky accounts:
I post updates more frequently there.
Now, onto the good stuff:
Soultracer is coming together even better than I expected! I’ve received a ton of positive messages and feedback from people following the development, and I can’t thank you enough for the support. Recently, Soultracer was even featured in an article on SurvivalHorrors.com! Check it out and consider following them too if you’re into survival horror:

Several areas in the game have been completely overhauled, and many new locations have been added. I’ve also revamped a lot of assets, including character models and weapons. You’ll probably notice that the characters are now higher poly than before. That’s intentional — I’m shifting away from a PS1-style aesthetic and aiming for more of a PS2 vibe since this was my intention since the beginning.
As a solo developer, I’m handling everything — music, models, story, world-building, programming — so progress takes time, but I’m working hard to make sure every aspect of the game is handled with care. The Steam store page is currently outdated, but I’ll be updating it soon with clearer information, new screenshots, and a trailer.
NEWS ON THE DEMO:
Originally, I planned to release the first demo around April 20th. I hadn’t officially announced that date, but it was the goal. The initial idea was to have the demo take place at the start of the game, which focuses more on exploration, puzzles, and world-building — without combat.
However, as I continued working on the next area, I realized that a combat-free demo might not be very exciting, especially for a survival horror game. That’s why I’ve decided the demo will now take place in “The Other World,” where there’s a mix of exploration, puzzles, and combat. I believe this will give players a better taste of what Soultracer is all about and let me gather more meaningful feedback.
I can’t give an exact release date just yet, but I want you to know that I’m fully focused on this area of the game to get the demo out as soon as possible.
The full scope of Soultracer is much bigger than what’s shown on the current store page, but I don’t want to spoil anything. I’m doing everything I can to make this a truly special experience. I’ll also be posting more regular updates here on Steam moving forward.
Once again, thank you to everyone supporting the project and sharing news about Soultracer!
